Woke Up Dark 02:40
When I woke up it was dark out Could not stand the taste in my mouth Put my shoes on Walked outside I got in the car and started to drive On the highway alone I drove real slow I kept going till I reached a lake and I drove into the black water I made no sound, then I woke up dark… When I woke up it was dark out Opened the window Then I climbed out On my roof I sat and spied on an animal eating hunched over gnawing Crawled towards it put out my hand Its fur was wet It was very cold Then when it saw me it picked its head up It slid off the roof, then I woke up dark… When I woke up it was dark out Objects in my room seemed to float around Tried to pass them Get to the door, but Everything was in the way So I fell onto the floor Things seemed to be pushing at me My stereo, my guitar, my big heavy blanket I rolled around, I reached far out Then someone opened the door Then I woke up, then I woke up, then I woke up dark

Walking home late at night Fog fills the air Dark gray sky Headlights bright But nobody's there I can't explain exactly what it is My instant reflex shiver says I'm terrified and I don't know why Cold fills all the holes in my shoe Puddle brown on the ground Cloud hidden moon I'm nervous speechless Overwhelmed by fear Things might be normal if it weren't for this atmosphere Instead of walking I decide to run Everything's blurred It only gets worse Way too much damage done In my home late at night Sounds of heavy winds Now I'm fine I can deny That anything bad happened It's easy to forget when it's hard to understand I can just shake off that shaking hand

Look around you See this town It surrounds you Lights and sounds I don’t know anyone On my block I know that tree And that bus stop Ohhh you can live in this place Eat at a diner where they know your face Run away screaming, run away smiling Sleep in your home The only place you’ve known Empty streets AM Dark Moon reflection Forest Park Distant holler Rumbling train tracks This town only listens When you listen back Oh you can breathe in this place Sit on a park bench as daylight’s erased Run away swimming run away flying Sleep in your bed Inside your room up the stairs Wet brick fence Grassy field Beautiful sunset Over the dead Oh you can move from this place Flatten a town map and learn how to trace Run away sitting, run away standing Think of the things you’ve disowned And gradually explode

Wake Up Fine 01:20
I thought that nightmares would end Once I left my life and friends I thought that I’d sleep more sound Once my bed was big and round I thought that my mind would rest Once I got this off my chest I thought that I’d wake up fine Once my dreams were left behind
